What inspired you to become a coach?

I have more than 20 years of experience in leadership roles in corporate America. While my roles were always challenging, they were never completely satisfying. I realized that myself and many other women simply bypassed the executive development track and because we wanted more. As a result, I decided to follow my passion.

Today I help entrepreneurs and organizations develop solutions that fuel business growth and transform products into accelerating profits.

What one piece of advice do you find yourself relying on most? Why?

My photographer often reminds me: “Be the change you want the world to see.”

This core value guides many facets of my life and business. True change exists within. If I want to make a shift, then I must change my mindset. I must make a mental shift in my thoughts and actions. As a born leader, I must continuously be clear in the message I deliver, as others are looking up to me.

One of my organization’s core values is integrity and states: “We will maintain an environment where a commitment to quality, honesty, respect, fairness and professional ethics governs the actions and decisions of everyone within our organization.”

What is the biggest hurdle your clients face? What advice would you give others struggling with this issue?

The biggest hurdle that my client’s face initially is neglecting to manage their personal and business finances. I find this to be a common thread in the vast majority. Organizations that set themselves apart from their competitors rely on reporting tools to measure the business. I advise clients to design strategic business tools for monitoring finances, implement benchmarks to measure and improve goals, and mandate standard operating procedures. In addition, I ensure our clients adopt a clear set of mission and vision statements to be delivered throughout the organization.
