Forbes Communication Council members wrapped up the summer on a high note, achieving both personal and professional successes — from acquiring new companies and expanding globally to being recognized in prestigious publications.

Below, we highlight two members and their big news.

Narvar Accelerates Global Expansion With Acquisition of India’s GoPigeon

On August 29, Narvar, a high-growth SaaS company redefining e-commerce and retail customer loyalty, announced its acquisition of India’s GoPigeon. This acquisition accelerates the company’s global expansion.

Harsh Jawharkar is head of marketing and partnerships at Narvar. 

Narvar has grown significantly in the last year, tripling revenue and adding more than 100 new clients including Amway, Chandon, The RealReal and TUMI. Its acquisition of GoPigeon, an end-to-end logistics management SaaS platform, enables Narvar to scale product DevOps more quickly, accelerate its machine-learning capabilities, and anchor the APAC e-commerce market.

Says founder and CEO Amit Sharma: “We are now well-positioned to accelerate our vision to simplify the lives of consumers around the globe.”

Curtis Sparrer Named in Business Insider’s List of “The 51 best public-relations people in the tech industry in 2017”

Curtis Sparrer, principal at Bospar, was featured in Business Insider’s 2017 list of the best public relations people in the tech industry.

Curtis co-founded Bospar, a top boutique tech public relations firm, three years ago. It has received awards and recognition for several campaigns, including winning an award for its holiday campaign for Ebates. Prior to co-founding Bospar, Curtis worked as a TV producer, which has served him well in his current work.

“A former journalist, he understands what we need for a story, and is very easy to work with,” one reporter says.

Curtis is also known for his 15-minutes of fame after being featured in CNET article “This is how absurd you look taking a call on your Apple Watch.”
