This summer has meant big news, new projects and high honors for the members of Forbes Real Estate Council. From partnerships to publications, these industry experts have plenty to talk about.

Below, we highlight three members and their big news.

Renters Warehouse Announces 10th Anniversary Book Release, SVP Honored By Local Magazine

For the fourth year in a row, Noel Christopher, SVP of Business Development at Renters Warehouse, has been named to Chicago Agent Magazine‘s “Who’s Who” list. Renters Warehouse, which is used by 13,000 investors across 25 states to manage over 19,000 single-family homes, has been described as “shaking up the local property management industry” since its recent move to Chicago. Upon receiving the honor, Noel told the magazine, “I am known to immerse myself in my work and never give up.”

The notable recognition comes on the heels of more good news for the team at Renters Warehouse. In celebration of its 10-year anniversary, the award-winning company has announced the release of Rent Estate Evolution. The book, available now for purchase, shares the “philosophy and business expertise around single-family rentals” that makes Renters Warehouse a force to be reckoned with.

Campus Advantage Breaks Ground On Student Housing Development in Downtown Pittsburgh

Campus Advantage, helmed by President and CEO Mike Peter, has broken ground on an exciting student housing community in downtown Pittsburgh, PA. The 10-story building, The Bridge on Forbes, will accommodate 489 beds in 197 studio, one-bedroom, two-bedroom and three-bedroom apartments which will be available to students of Carnegie Mellon University and the University of Pittsburgh.

This is Campus Advantage’s second partnership with the real estate investment strategy and development firm. The team previously collaborated on The Knox, a community for University of Tennessee students. Campus Advantage, an Austin-based firm, has been successfully creating housing communities like these since 2003.

The units will come fully furnished with rich amenities including a fitness center, secure garage and courtyard spaces, and the structure will house retail spaces on the retail corridor. Following construction, Campus Advantage will continue to manage the property. The Bridge on Forbes will open its doors to new students in 2020.

“We are thrilled to work with Pinecrest to offer this type of purpose-built student housing project just steps from the University of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon University campuses,” said David Pierce, Executive Vice President of Development at Campus Advantage.

RealScout CEO Sits Down with NAR’s New Boss in First Ever Live Interview

On Aug. 15, RealScout CEO Andrew Flachner had the honor of conducting the very first live interview with CEO of the National Association of Realtors® (NAR), Bob Goldberg. Flachner moderated the live-streamed event with Goldberg, the first new CEO of NAR in 36 years.

The live event was streamed on RealScout’s Facebook page and included questions from members of the real estate community submitted on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.

“As a graduate of the NAR REach® program, RealScout believes REALTORS® are critical to the success of our industry,” Flachner said. “We are excited to connect Goldberg’s vision directly to the real estate community.”
