PacketSled Names New President and CEO John Keister
On October 25, PacketSled, a leading provider of cloud-based network visibility, detection, incident response and breach forensics, named John Keister as its new president and CEO. CTO Fred Wilmot has served as interim CEO since November 2016 and will be staying on as CTO.
Keister has previously served as co-founder, president and COO at two technology companies that focused on search, online advertising and analytics. In his new role, he will help to build PacketSled’s market position and expand its customer footprint.
“The cloud is transforming the security analytics space in important ways, and Fred and the team have built a strong technology platform to compete going forward,” said Keister. “We believe that there is significant growth ahead in this category. I am excited to work with this team of security experts to deliver great products to our customers.”
In other exciting news, the company recently raised more than $3.5 million, primarily from existing investors.

BMC Software Nominated for 2017 Search Engine Land Award
BMC Software, a global leader in innovative software solutions, was nominated for a 2017 Search Engine Land Award, highlighting its exceptional marketing efforts. Dan Streetman is SVP Digital Transformation at BMC.
The annual Search Engine Land Awards shine a spotlight on SEO and SEM professionals at the top of their fields. Out of hundreds of submissions from leading digital agencies, in-house marketing teams and individuals around the globe, BMC Software received a nomination in the Best B2B Search Marketing Initiative — SEO category.

Protected Media Opens Office in New York
On October 31, leading fraud prevention company Protected Media, led by founder and CEO Asaf Greiner, announced the opening of its New York office to meet increased demand for its fraud-protection products.
Newly appointed VP Russell Isaacson will leverage his experience to help North American companies ensure the legitimacy and effectiveness of their digital media investments.
“Our rapid growth affirms our ability to expand, lead and innovate,” said Greiner. “Russell’s proven experience building long-term relationships and his vast network in the online marketing industry will enable us to gain a further foothold in the U.S. market.”
