In this video clip, Catherine Mattice Zundel, president of Civility Partners, outlines three ways to use core values to drive a positive work environment. First, turn core values into core competencies by defining how your employees are supposed to behave to achieve your vision. For example, if one of your core values is having fun, only hire people who smile a lot and like to interact with people. Second, use your core values to guide all of your decisions. Finally, live your core values on a daily basis by incorporating them into office decor, performance conversations with management, new hire interviews, etc.
