Brittany Garth Receives Proclamation for National Life Coaches Week

On February 13, Brittany Garth, certified executive business coach and owner of Dimensioned Wellness, LLC, received the first proclamation from the Governor of Virginia for National Life Coaches Week in honor of her contribution to the industry of coaching. This proclamation declared that National Life Coaches Week was March 5-March 10, 2018 and was the first national holiday for life coaches recognized within the U.S.

Marlo Higgins Launching Book, The Making of a Maverick: Building Champions in Business and in Life

Shane Barker Accepts Position at UCLA and Is Featured in USA Today

Shane Barker of digital marketing consultancy firm Shane Barker Consulting recently accepted a position as a co-instructor at UCLA Extension, creating and teaching influencer marketing for the MBA program.

Additionally, Shane was featured in an article in USA Today, “Micro-influencers: How small businesses sidestep traditional advertising to grow sales,” in which he reveals that “the sweet spot is between 25,000 and 250,000 followers.” Read the article here.

India Gary-Martin, founder of Leadership For Life, led a delegation of her coaching clients to WOW London. Hosted by Jude Kelly, the Women of the World festival celebrates women and girls and looks at the obstacles that stop them from achieving their potential.

Kerissa Kuis Chosen to lead the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Emerging Leaders Program in West Virginia

Kerissa Kuis, MBA, president and founder of The University of Wellness, was chosen to lead The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Emerging Leaders Program for small businesses in West Virginia. The Emerging Leaders Program’s goal is to help established businesses gain new momentum in revenue growth. Since its inception in 2008, the program has been a “proven catalyst for job creation and business growth for small businesses across America.” Sixty-seven percent of participants surveyed have reported an increase in revenue after completing the course and 75% reported the creation and maintaining of new jobs in their communities. This is the first time this program was hosted in the state of West Virginia.
