Shefik Wins Three Hermes Creative Awards in 2018

Hermes Creative Awards is an international competition for creative professionals involved in the concept, writing and design of emerging technologies. Media personality Shefik has won three awards in 2018 for his nationally syndicated terrestrial radio show, “Shefik presents Invocation,” bringing his grand total to nine overall. Under the category “Electronic Media – Social Media – Interactive Media – Audio: Program, he received one Hermes Creative Platinum Award, one Hermes Creative Gold Award, and one Hermes Creative Honorable Mention Award.

Says Shefik: “As I continue on my life journey, I am humbled by the continued success of my platform. I appreciate the efforts of my team at ‘Shefik presents Invocation’, and I am equally appreciative to all of my supportive industry peers.”

Five9 Launches Spring Release 2018

Five9 recently announced the launch of Spring Release 2018: Practical AI for the Contact Center and Portfolio Wide Enhancements. This release includes major enhancements across the portfolio, including Five9 Genius and Engagement Workflow. Five9 Genius includes intelligent routing designed to get customers to the right agent faster. Genius also includes agent guidance designed to provide stellar customer experience. FTC member Gaurav Passi is executive vice president of products & technology at Five9, overseeing strategy and product roadmap, development, quality engineering and product ops.

New Harvey Nash/KPMG CIO Survey Reveals Cyber Crime Threat Reaches All-Time High

According to the new 2018 Harvey Nash/KPMG CIO Survey, companies are ramping up investments in data and cyber security to become more compliant with new security regulations and avoid damaging data breaches. Forbes Tech Council member Anna Frazzetto is CDTO/SVP of global technology solutions for Harvey Nash.

The survey analyzed responses from 3,958 CIOs and technology leaders across 84 countries. Key findings include that 23% more companies are now prioritizing improvements in cyber security as compared to 2017. As well, only 22% report they are well-prepared for a cyber attack. The survey also address issues such as digital strategy effectiveness, GDPR compliance, and progress in diversity and inclusion.
