Latest Funding Round Positions Convene For Innovative Expansion
Convene, the flexible meeting and workspace co-founded by Chief Innovation Officer Christopher Kelly, has raised an impressive $152 million in a Series D round, placing the company’s value at over $500 million. New investors include Revolution Growth, Brookfield Property Partners LP, BlackRock In.c and others, according to Bloomberg.
With these funds, the company sets its sights on a global expansion. Convene has already made its mark on New York City, Boston, Philadelphia, Los Angeles and Washington, D.C. Kelly told Bloomberg, “We really want to build the connective tissue in a building that connects people, places, services, systems and things.”

VHT Studios CEO Shares the Importance of Aerial Photos in MHN Feature
Visual marketing expert and VHT Studios co-founder and CEO Brian Balduf was recently invited to share his insights by Multi-Housing News magazine. In an article discussing the latest and greatest in aerial and virtual tours, Balduf weighed in on how drone-captured photos and videos are essential for positioning properties for a faster sale — 32% faster, he says.
“More and more owners and managers are learning how virtually staged photographs of a unit appeal to prospective buyers or tenants,” Balduf said in the feature. VHT Studios’ real estate photography has helped over 200,000 agents sell more than $200 billion worth of properties over the last 20 years.

Ryan Jancula Named One of Realtor Magazine’s 2018 30 Under 30
Out of a class of over 300 applicants, Forbes Real Estate Council member Ryan Jancula was named to the Realtor Magazine‘s 2018 30 Under 30. Under the brokerage Compass, Jancula’s real estate group My Westside Home sold over $56 million in properties last year, with over $34 million in Jancula’s individual sales.
In the 30 Under 30 list announcement, Realtor Magazine said, “This year’s honorees show that authenticity is the new standard for exceptional service.” A panel of judges selected the top 50 candidates from the applicant pool, and readers cast over 15,000 votes to name the top 30.

Stribling & Associates Agents Named to “The Thousand”
Stribling & Associates, led by President Elizabeth Ann Stribling-Kivlan, is excited to announce five agents who have been recognized for their success in real estate. The Wall Street Journal and REAL Trends named several Stribling agents to “The Thousand” (download required), the joint endeavor’s ranking of top agents nationwide. Congratulations to Alexa Lambert, Pamela D’Arc, Millie Perry and the team Shelton Smith and Elizabeth Lorenzo.

Eileen Lacerte Named Top 100 Realtor and Hall of Famer
After repeatedly being placed at the top of the list of Top 100 Realtors in the State of Hawaii, Real Estate Council member Eileen Lacerte has been inducted into the Hawaii Business Magazine Hall of Fame. The broker/owner of Hawaii Beach and Golf Properties, Lacerte specializes in waterfront luxury properties and boasts sales over $312 million.
Campus Advantage Welcomes New Co-COO
President and CEO Mike Peter of student housing development leader Campus Advantage excitedly announces the promotion of Jennifer Cassidy to Executive Vice President and Co-Chief Operating Officer. “Strengthening our Operations team is a huge positive for Campus Advantage clients,” said Peter in a press release. “With the growth Campus Advantage has experienced in the last 12-18 months, both in size and the diversification of clients and properties, bringing on an additional Chief Operating Officer allows for a more streamlined focus on our relationships.
