Gregory Buchheit is the Founding President of Viking Principle, a preeminent leadership and organizational development advisory firm, which specializes in enhancing the performance of individual executives, teams, and organizations. As the Leader of the firm, he is responsible for running all facets of the firm. Concurrently, he serves as Board Chairman at the Executive Leadership Council, a leadership-based peer advisory group. Greg has over 15 years of high-performing leadership experience. He honorably served in the United States military as an operational team member in Naval Special Operations. During his tenure in the Navy, Greg earned his way through three of the military's most elite selection processes and served five years onboard SEAL Team 6, an organization composed of the world's most elite warriors and exceptional leaders. Further, he has conducted real-world operations in collaboration with the CIA, FBI, NSA, DEA, and the Army's Delta Force in various hostile territories throughout the world. After leaving the Navy, he led teams as a consultant and held management positions from operations to administrative, developing an understanding of business challenges and furthering his expertise in complex problem-solving. His desire to create excellent leaders, teams and organizations inspired him to shift the focus of Viking Principle into the area of leadership and organizational development. In the years since, Greg has helped organizations of all sizes, including local governments and Fortune 500 companies increase performance, create dynamic cultures and sustainable futures. As a facilitator, trainer, and advisor, clients in past sessions have described Greg's style as inspiring. He creates an environment in which leaders feel valued for their individual strengths and encouraged to put into action behaviors that align with achieving greatness. One of his strengths is helping clients' bridge the gap between content and how they can apply the learning. Since 2018, Greg has volunteered as a mentor of career development to young adults for various youth organizations to include the Gary Sinise Foundation. He is a member of the Forbes Coaches Council and the Harvard Medical School affiliate — Institute of Coaching.
