Dr. Ryan Lahti is the founder and managing principal of OrgLeader, a California-based firm that optimizes the performance of organizations driven by science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) as well as the leaders who run them. Ryan combines business experience in over 20 industries with a background in leadership assessment/development, executive coaching, talent management, and organizational effectiveness. For two and a half decades, Ryan has enhanced the performance of Forbes Global 2000 and midsize companies by designing and implementing customized leadership, executive team, and organizational solutions. As a trusted advisor to senior management, he helps executives understand their strengths, limitations, and leadership styles as well as the impact of these elements on the job. Ryan works with high-potential leaders and proven high performers who hold positions up to board of director. Prior to founding OrgLeader in 2006, Ryan worked for global consulting firms including Ernst & Young and Hay Group. He also served in corporate positions with Gap Inc., Westin Hotels & Resorts, and Invitrogen where he oversaw leadership and organizational development. Ryan is an author and sought-after speaker. He authored "The Finesse Factor: How to Build Exceptional Leaders in STEM Organizations." Ryan is a contributor to Forbes on leadership, talent management, and organizational effectiveness issues. He is a certified executive coach and member of the Forbes Coaches Council, the International Coach Federation, the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology as well as Thomson Reuters Expert Witness Services. Ryan holds a BA in psychology/business administration from UCLA, an MA in industrial/organizational psychology from California State University Long Beach, and a PhD in psychology/organizational science from the University of North Texas.

OrgLeader is a California-based professional services firm that optimizes the performance of STEM organizations (those driven by science, technology, engineering and math) and the leaders who run them. OrgLeader accomplishes this in three ways: (1) Identifies capability gaps in leaders, executive teams, and organizations. OrgLeader uses assessments tailored to each situation to identify the specific gap. Options range from leadership assessments to organizational surveys. (2) Closes capability gaps by developing leaders, teams, and organizations. OrgLeader determines the best approach to close each gap. The approaches include executive coaching, leadership onboarding, executive team working sessions, leadership development programs, and employee engagement. (3) Sustains results by ensuring the right strategies, structures, and processes are in place. OrgLeader makes sure that once gaps are closed they remain closed by using a variety of methods. The methods include executive off-sites, talent management infrastructure, strategic planning, succession management, strategic workforce planning, and change management.
