Louis Swingrover has been active in commercial real estate since 2003, and has helped other investors place over $1.5 Billion of equity. He has been featured in outlets such as Entrepreneur and Forbes, where he is as an official member of the Real Estate Council. He currently serves as CEO of 1031Gateway, which he founded to serve fellow real estate investors who looking to protect their capital while reinvesting it into durable income–producing property. He also serves as Executive Director of SaveThe1031.org, a taxpayer advocacy group that partners with other industry organizations to preserve the tax-deferred exchange during periods of tax reform and budget reconciliation. He holds a B.A. from Biola University and is completing his graduate work in philosophy at Gonzaga University. Throughout the Great Recession, Swingrover says he witnessed the suffering that many investors incurred as a result of misinformation and over-aggressive investment recommendations. He founded 1031Gateway to serve other investors by connecting them to intelligent, trustworthy professionals whom, he says, really and truly put their clients first. Swingrover and the 1031Gateway team identify and analyze available Reg. D offerings that qualify for 1031 exchange, paying special attention to the assumptions that underly each property's cash flow projections, and whether they can hold up to changes in the market or potential economic downturns. Swingrover grew up in Southern California, where he enjoyed playing water polo and lifeguarding. Today, he lives with his wife and children in the Pacific Northwest, and enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, studying philosophy, playing chess, and drinking good coffee.
