David Windhausen leads more than 100 technology professionals across the globe as the head of Intouch Technology Services. Combining his tech expertise with his entrepreneurial spirit, David recently led the development of Intouch B2D - a technology and production services hub - to create a more holistic, seamless, and predictive experience between providers and patients. Intouch B2D was born out of David’s realization that industry shifts are impacting the acceptance of technology. David has also been instrumental in developing Intouch’s proprietary artificial intelligence technology, Cognitive Core, particularly the behind-the-scenes functionality. From safeguarding regulatory compliance to working directly with pharma medical review boards to create specific workflows for managing content needed to continuously train the system, David has led the charge to ensure Cognitive Core complies and delivers rapidly. David also pioneered strategic partnerships with Veeva, Salesforce and Adobe to integrate the platform for patient and HCP use. David continues to lead the evolution of Cognitive Core by augmenting its intelligence in a way that allows the pharma industry to understand how and when to interact with patient populations in a more meaningful way. He has always focused on the need to innovate to solve business problems. He spearheaded internal hackathons, innovation labs and workshops, and founded the Intouch Innovation function before "innovation" was an industry buzzword. From identifying tech trends to reinventing business processes and technologies to help solve client and patient challenges, David continues to influence the future of healthcare marketing. Before joining Intouch, David spent a decade developing tech solutions for Hoechst Marion Roussel and another decade leading his own software-development firm. His interest in harnessing technology for good has been a mainstay of his more than 30-year career.
