Larry Lafferty

Mr. Larry Lafferty has 30 years of experience in software engineering, research and development. He has conducted research and development for several commercial products in the machine learning and other AI domains. During the early 1990’s, Mr. Lafferty was the technical lead for the Tactics Planner module on the DARPA – USAF Pilot’s Associate program. Following this project he helped developed air campaign planning tools in conjunction with the USAF Checkmate group. He was the Chief Systems Engineer for the JFACC Jumpstart effort and worked with the DARPA management team during the follow-on effort. Beginning in the late 1990’s, Mr. Lafferty worked with ISX Corporation as part of the experiment planning team for DARPA’s Command Post of the Future. He moved from this project in 2000 to the Active Templates program, a DARPA effort that focused on development of scalable distributed infrastructures for mission planning and execution. In addition to work in the DoD community, Mr. Lafferty led the development of two commercial products, including a monitoring and surveillance system for the oil industry and an equipment diagnosis system for industrial and military use.
